Floyd Mayweather Sentenced To 90 Days In Jail For Beating The Mother Of His Child

Boxer Floyd Mayweather, has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for viciously beating the mother of his children, Josie Harris. Mayweather, who was featured on the VH-1 reality show "What Chili Wants" erupted in a rage when he read one of Harris' text messages and accused her of having sex with NBA athlete CJ Watson, who denied the allegation.

In the presence of his children, Mayweather proceeded to unleash a terrible beating on Harris, as though he was fighting an opponent in the ring. The attack left Harris hospitalized and distraught. Domestic violence is wrong and should be addressed in a court of law with jail time. There is no necessity to beat anyone.

Conrad Murray, the former doctor that tended to pop star Michael Jackson in the months before he died, overdosing him on the pharmaceutical drug, Propofol, has filed an appeal in his manslaughter conviction in connection with the singer's death in his Bel Air home at the age of 49.

Murray was overwhelmingly found guilty by a Los Angeles jury, who were in complete unison regarding his criminal misconduct. Judge Michael Pastor also threw the book at Murray, whilst issuing a stern lecture on the lethal consequences of his wanton decisions for money.

Murray remains in jail and is representing himself for the appeal. An ill-advised documentary Murray did into the death of Jackson featured him speaking ill of his attorney as "unprepared." Clearly, he feels he can do better. The Judiciary Report would be genuinely surprised if Murray will be successful in overturning the conviction, as the jury was so unanimous and there are no obvious discrepancies or blaring omissions in the prosecution's case.

However, having stated that, I don't have access to all the case documents from the trial, to poke any possible holes in it, but I did watch it online and the prosecution put on a good, solid case. It is going to be hard to deconstruct what the prosecution in this case did and somehow prove it was wrong. Murray's worst enemy right now is the evidence.

Pop singer Usher Raymond is often in controversial relationships he uses to fuel publicity for his career, but it appears his brother has taken it to the next and been arrested in doing so. Usher's brother James Lackey was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia for beating his girlfriend and their child in a case that is bizarre. The situation screams abuse in beating both mother and child. He was charged with battery, cruelty to a child and reckless conduct. Usher posted his $5,500 bail.

Lackey has lived a privileged life, due to his brother's career as a famous singer over the past 16-years. At one point he tried to become a rapper, but it did not pan out. He is clearly dealing with issues that caused him to lash out in this manner and his behavior is totally unacceptable.

TMZ is reporting, Conrad Murray, the former doctor of the late singer, Michael Jackson, is suicidal in jail, after being convicted on involuntary manslaughter charges, in connection with the singer's death. Jackson's death has been a lose-lose situation for everyone except Sony, but that's another matter. Life is about choices. Sometimes people make the wrong choices and do not want to face the consequences. Murray must face the end result of his deeds in that Jackson has died. Damage has been done.

At least he, Murray, is alive. He really should not be the one complaining or feeling sorry for himself. He took an outrageous risk with another man's life and it ended in tragedy. Murray needs to humble himself, man up, accept responsibility in Jackson's death, serve his time in jail and try to rebuild his life, seeking God's mercy and forgiveness.
